The movement is growing -- don't stop now!

I got this from  the Global Fund:

Dear Tracy,

First of all, thank you.

By signing the open letter in support of the Global Fund, you've helped us move a step closer to a world where mothers don't have to worry that their children might be born HIV-positive, where tuberculosis is under control and where a mosquito bite isn't a death sentence.

So now that you've already raised your voice, won't you help bring others into the chorus?

Use our simple form to ask your friends and family to join you by co-signing the open letter -- it only takes a few minutes.

I've directed many campaigns with the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, but I'm especially excited by this one. The Global Fund has used innovative and responsible strategies to save more than seven million lives so far -- and this movement is about making sure that we do not lose millions in years to come to these preventable and treatable diseases.

If we're going to reach our goals of continuing to save at least a million lives a year by dramatically reducing deaths from HIV, tuberculosis and malaria around the world by 2015, we need as many voices as possible.

You'll be pleased to know that the open letter you signed has already received a lot of attention. We've had thousands of people sign on, and they're spreading the word across Facebook and Twitter. This is a remarkable movement, and it makes me excited about what we can achieve together.

But we can't risk losing the momentum that hundreds of thousands of doctors, nurses and community health workers have built in just a few years with Global Fund resources. If we don't keep up the fight against these three epidemics, millions of lives will be at stake -- and U.S. leadership is key to making sure that those millions face a bright future instead of this threat.

So please, ask everyone you know to co-sign the letter and stand alongside you, Deepak Chopra, Morgan Freeman, Annie Lennox and thousands more:

Thank you for your help. Together, let us show the world that change is possible. It begins with you.

Best,

Jon Lidén
Campaign Director, the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria
