Vegas poem by Tracy Au

Vegas

By Tracy Au

It so happens I’m tired of the internet
Surfing the web, but I’m really in stuck in a spider’s web of a rut
That will kill me
If I don’t get out
I’m tired of being stuck at home
With no place to go but the cyber world of the internet
To watch TV to escape
From my boring reality
I want to speed like a motorcycle on the highway
And fly away
To a far off country
To see the things for real
And not from a TV screen

Main destination I want to head to is Las Vegas
Take a plane
Have fun, go crazy
Insane
Put all my chips and take a risk
Be a guest at a chapel
Get drunk and party
Classy hotel
Cheap motel
Whatever, doesn’t matter
As long as I’m out having fun
