Help Amnesty continue to shine a light on the atrocities the Syrian government and some armed groups are committing against the people of Syria.

Dear Tracy,

President Bashar al-Assad "won" a third, seven-year term this week.

Syria is four years into a brutal civil war, in which al-Assad's government starved entire villages and targeted civilians with barrel bombs.

Amnesty has crossed directly into Syria multiple times to document the abuses and capture video, photographs and personal testimony as evidence. We will continue making sure the world knows the extent of the abuses in Syria. Will you help? Stand up to put an end to the escalating crisis by making a donation to support Amnesty's efforts to stop human rights violations.

Our investigations aim to force the international community to:
  • Stop the Syrian government's systematic use of starvation as a weapon of war.
  • Demand that Syrian authorities release peaceful activists in detention and grant access to human rights groups to investigate reported acts of torture.
  • Ensure that medics and humanitarian workers have safe passage to help the people of Syria and refugees seeking safety in neighboring countries.

There is no question that the conflict is unfolding at an unimaginable scale. But there is more we can do to stand up for the people of Syria.

Make an emergency donation to support our human rights work in Syria and around the world.
Sincerely,

Sunjeev Bery
