My opinion: My dad looked at it and he said it was a scam.  If it's only a 6 day course, than it's a scam.

CDI College: My dad says it's not really a college.

Counter argument: I have a friend Heather who went to CDI and became a Registered Massage Therapist there and is working as one for years.

Calmly create wealthTM

Volatility is a common occurrence in the financial markets. Sentry offers an alternative. We apply steadfast discipline to keep your investments on a calmer path to wealth creation.
When we opened our doors in 1997, Sentry was a small mutual fund company with some very big ideas. We focused on delivering superior risk-adjusted returns, which more tangibly translates into growth and income with less volatility.
We also believed that to achieve superior results, we needed to do things differently. Over the next 10 years, we attracted a relatively small but loyal group of supporters.

My opinion: I showed it to my dad.  He asked: "What are your qualifications?"

It's not a scam.  It seems like World Financial Group where they are recruiting people and trying to get business leads out of them.

The job is 10-15 min. a week and get paid $250.  That seems grey.

Coffee4everyone: I got an email through Indeed.

My opinion: I showed it to my dad and he says the job seems too hard.

Is this a scam or a real job?

I am 26M canada who got an email today regarding a job and I think it's a scam but I am not sure. I would really appreciate if someone here could advise me what to do.

Employment counselor here! I have never seen an employer reach out in that manner without it being a scam... especially since she doesn't refer to specific skills or abilities that you have that would be of interest to the company. Better to check here than to get yourself into trouble, so nice work! Employment scams are extremely high right now as folks are vulnerable. Best of luck in your search!

Jun. 27, 2024 "This woman pays 100% of her income on rent": Today I found this article by Natalie Stechyson on CBC:

Living with your parents. Living with your ex. Giving up basic needs like food and clothing.

These are just some of the sacrifices Canadians say they've been making to pay rent amid the surging prices and decreased availability marking Canada's rental housing crisis.Demand for rentals is outpacing supply across the country. A recent CBC News analysis of more than 1,000 neighbourhoods across Canada's largest cities found that less than one per cent of rentals are both vacant and affordable for the majority of Canadian renters.

Meanwhile, over half of Canadian renters are spending more than the recommended 30 per cent of their income on rent, according to a recent survey.

"I think it's sickening," Karen Charmbury, a single mom living in Kingston, Ont., told CBC News.

Charmbury, 47, has to make sacrifices because 100 per cent of her income goes to her rent.

She had to sell her house after her divorce and now pays $2,679 per month for a three-bedroom townhouse in the same neighbourhood. She didn't want her children, a teen boy and teen girl, to have to switch schools or share a bedroom.

So, she's been cashing in her investments.

Child support helps with the bills,

her mother helps her with groceries

and her friends give her their old clothes.

She says she barely sleeps from the stress.

Charmbury, who works full time in admin, is also looking for a night job because one income is unsustainable.

"It's very scary," Charmbury said of her financial situation. "But you'd do anything for your kids."

My opinion: I feel so sorry for this woman.  She should make her 2 kids share a room, or she shares a room with her daughter.

She should get the kids to get jobs.

She may apply to get food from the Food Bank.

Sun. Jun. 23, 2024 Soup and Soul Sunday: This is at the Centre of Spiritual Living.  I haven't been by there in years.  I have never went to this event.

You eat soup, bread, desserts there.  There were a lot of women over 60 there.  I did bump into Mark and Melanie.

The "suggested love offering" is $15.

You watch a spiritual documentary.  They showed Song of the New Earth.  This is about Tom Kenyon who is a psychotherapist and a sound healer.  He sings and plays sound bowls.

This is a solid and average movie.  If you're spiritual and like the New Age subject, then you'll like this.  He has these spiritual experiences with these animations to show them.

You can watch the trailer to see if you'll like this:
