FW: A decision no parent should have to make

Today is World Water Day. It`s not too late to make a special contribution that will bring clean water to the children who need it most.

Thank you.

Subject. A decision no parent should have to make

Today, although incredible progress has been made in recent years, more than 700 million people around the world still have no access to clean water.

Clean water is something that most of us take for granted.

Most of us will never know true thirst or what it’s like to have to walk several kilometres every single day, just to get a bit of water that may not even be safe to drink. We don’t have to face the impossible choice of letting our children go thirsty or giving them unsafe water – a decision no parent should ever have to make.

We’re the lucky ones.

Today, although incredible progress has been made in recent years, more than 700 million people around the world still have no access to clean water. An estimated 1,400 children die every single day from diseases linked to unsafe water and a lack of basic sanitation. This is unacceptable.

But you can make a difference. With World Water Day coming up on March 22, we’re asking our supporters to make a special contribution to provide more children and their families with access to clean drinking water and sanitation.

Here are just a few ways your donation can help:

  • $60 can provide enough water purification tablets for a family of four to have clean water for a year.
  • $76 can provide four families with clean water kits, which include water containers, soap and water purification tablets.
  • $98 can provide enough oral rehydration salts and water purification tablets to reach more than 220 children.
  • $525 can provide a water pump, ensuring clean water for an entire community.

I hope we can count on your support today. Please, make your donation by March 22 and help save children’s lives.

Sincerely,
