5 years of suffering could end if enough of us speak up by October 23

Dear Tracy,

5 years of suffering could end if enough of us speak up by October 23rd
I had the honour of visiting activist
Ángel Colón in prison while in Mexico last month. We filmed his heartbreaking story of wrongful detainment and torture. Now, we're going to do all we can to ensure the injustice stops.
You can learn about our meeting with Angel on our website, but please go straight to our online action and send a message the Mexico's Attorney General before October 23rd
THANK YOU!

TAKE ACTION BY OCTOBER 23rd:
Ángel Colón: Tortured and jailed for being in the wrong place at the wrong time:

When his oldest child was sick with cancer, Ángel,
an activist, engineer, and a member of the Garifuna (Afro-descended) community, left his home in Honduras to travel to the United States. He planned to work in the US and send money to his family to pay for his son’s cancer treatment.
In January 2009, and without proper travel documents, Ángel started the long journey north through Honduras, Guatemala, and Mexico.

And then everything went terrible wrong.
He was stopped. Detained. Tortured. He has spent 5 years in prison.

The Federal Attorney General’s Office will decide whether to convict or acquit Ángel on October 23. Ángel needs our support now in the lead-up to this decision.

Now we learned that she can once again practice law - her wish upon release. She has received a full pardon from the authorities and is able to resume her work protecting the rights of women in Iran!
