Post Secret/ The Watcher/ missing girl found

Dec. 4 Post Secret:

"Every time I drive past a strip club, I scream DAD! Hoping that the guy walking in will feel horrible, and run away :)"

Me: That's kind of funny and can hurt the strip club business. Or by all means the guy walking in isn't a dad. Or he will think the strippers are someone's daughter.

"Every time a 'room inspection' notice is posted on my dorm room door I take it down so my roommates don't know when to hide their booze and drugs so they'll finally get expelled."

Me: That's good. They deserve to get expelled.

"Somethings that you pretend to like so a boy will love you end up giving you more than that boy ever could."

"Seeing my ex's name come up on my phone when he texted hurt too much, so I switched his name to 'Urkel.'"

Me: That's a good way to deal with it.

Quote: I was reading on Yahoo about how who was considered to be the lead girl Bella in Twilight. Michelle Tractenberg (Dawn from Buffy) was one of the actresses. She says:

"[Hypothetical answers mean] you're not living in the moment and you're looking negatively at what you're doing now," she mused.

Me: That's a good quote that I collected in my quotes.

I was thinking about "What if I done this or done that?" The thing is, you can't take every route or do all the activities. All you can do is prepare and think through your decisions before you make them. Back to Tractenberg, she is still successful. She was on Gossip Girl.

The Watcher: I saw this movie last week and I didn't like it. It's about a serial killer playing a cat-and-mouse game with the police. It came out in 2000. I thought I would like it because I watch Criminal Minds. However, I would say I like other serial killer movies like The Cell and Taking Lives.

It starts off with helicopters and police are rushing to a scene. Cut to Keanu Reeves playing the serial killer Griffin. He is dancing to a Rob Zombie song that's on The Matrix soundtrack, and we all know KR is in that movie. lol. The SWAT team kicks the door open. The Detective Campbell (James Spader) is talking to his therapist Polly (Marisa Tomei) about the serial killer.

Campbell is lonely and sad. Then he gets a picture of a woman who's a murder victim. Then he gets another one who's about to die. Campbell goes to homicide Det. Hollis (Chris Ellis) about it. Griffen calls Campbell: "I'll send you a picture of a woman, and I'll give you a day to find her until 9pm. If you can find her, she won't get killed." (The inciting incident.)

There are flashbacks of Campbell and his Girlfriend. She was attacked by Griffen. Campbell gets a picture in a card, and he doesn't get his fingerprints on it. Another Detective Ibby is on the case. I know it's the African- American dr./ dad from Secret Life of the American Teenager. His name is Ernie Hudson.

Hollis holds press conference that says this woman Ellie is in danger. Tips pour in. Campbell gets photo blown up to get clues. Turns out Ellie works at the mall and Campbell misses seeing her. Cops pass out photos of her. A witness says she works at the photo store.

What's interesting is Ellie is at home and she gets a call from her mom. Her mom's freaking out about her pharmacist, and not because her daughter's in danger. Ellie hangs up and Griffen comes up from behind and strangles her.

Campbell calls Ellie, and Griffin picks up. He is too late to save her. Campbell and Hollis at the Vietnamese restaurant.

Campbell: What if he's watching us right now?
In the first phone call, Griffin mentioned how he has been watching Campbell.

Campbell leaves and walks out of the restaurant looking for Griffin. Griffin is in car, and drives away. He chases after the car and shoots at it. The question comes: "Why is Campbell obsessed with finding the killer?" It's answered that the killer killed his girlfriend.

Another interesting part is that Griffin follows Campbell into an elevator to see him go to therapist. Griffin followed Campbell to Chicago. Griffin talks to therapist to get info on Campbell. They never really met so Campbell doesn't know he's the killer.

The next victim is a young homeless woman named Lisa. Her mom saw her pic on TV and calls the police. They go to mom's place to get info. In Lisa's picture, there are 3 people from the same coffee shop. Which one? If you find the location, you can find her. Campbell stops Skateboarder who knows Lisa. He runs away from Campbell.

Griffin goes to Lisa and Lisa hits him with her stereo. She runs and hides behind pillars and go down the stairs. The cops go to abandoned building where they know Griffin and Lisa are. The Skateboarder told them. They run around. Lisa is killed, and Campbell runs after Griffin on the roof.

Griffin manages to get to a car, and hot wires it. They get into a car chase and it stops at an abandoned gas station. Griffin blows it up. There is a great explosion, hauntingly beautiful. 3 cops died in the explosion. Campbell is hospitalized. This would be the lowest point in the script.

Griffin breaks into therapist Polly's office to get file and tapes of Campbell's sessions. There is a flashback to delve deeper into when Campbell saves his Girlfriend. She was tied up in the chair and he takes the tape off her mouth. Campbell runs to chase Griffin, and a candle was knocked over and sets the house on fire. The question: "Do I save Girlfriend or let the killer get away?"

He tries to save her, but was unable to. Then I thought James Spader kind of looks like William Fitchner (Mahone from Prison Break.) Well they both have bags under their eyes and have that old, tired weathered look.

Campbell visits Girlfriend's grave and Griffin is there. Griffin has his next victim, the therapist Polly. Campbell gives Griffin his gun, so he could get to Polly. Campbell is driving and then he dials Hollis's number. They put a trace on it.

Cut to an abandoned building. Griffin was smart and sets up door that if it opens, it will shoot a gun at who enters. Polly is tied up to a chair and there are candles around oil. The movie ends where it begins. Griffin knocks out Campbell and shoots him in the leg, so he's weak.

Griffin: You need to thank me because I gave meaning to your pathetic life.
He starts strangling Polly.
Campbell thanks him to stop him from hurting Polly. Campbell then stabs him and knocks candle over. Everything's on fire and the SWAT teams bursts in. Campbell and Polly run out through the window and lands into lake. Griffin is on fire and falls into lake.

Campbell and Polly are fine. Griffin is dead.

Dec. 5 Missing girl found: A 2 yr old baby girl was abducted by her mom. Her dad, and her older brother has been looking for her. They found her 18 yrs later, and she's now 20 and will be meeting her dad and brother. Her dad talked to CBC news on the phone and he seemed calm and isn't mad at his ex-wife. He's excited to get to know his daughter.

He and his son has kept video blogs the entire time so they will show it to her.

Joke gift: I was reading in 24 newspaper, about a woman who creates a joke gift with dead flowers. It costs $43 and free delivery in the Edmonton area. A portion of the profits go to the Stollery Children's hospital. It's funny to send it on divorce, breakups, Halloween, etc.

It's kind of quirky to me, but I don't find it funny. It can be kind of creepy. It would be good for a Goth couple.
