Sage 50 Accounting Software Certificate
Overview
This certificate is for those who wish to become educated and trained in the Sage 50 Accounting software program. Bookkeeping is an important component in all small-to-medium sized businesses, many of which use Sage 50 Accounting.
This software manages numerous bookkeeping tasks including: a Chart of Accounts; Accounts Receivable; Accounts Payable; Payroll processing; Remittances to governing bodies; tracking Inventory/Services; Job Costing; Account Reconciliation, and generating numerous reports for various needs. Sage 50 Accounting software handles these tasks - and more – using a reliable double-entry bookkeeping process with a reputable audit trail.
Good bookkeeping requires a knowledge of Debits and Credits, an understanding of financial accounting, and an organized, detail-oriented individual who can keep accurate, up-to-date records which are vital to the well-being of any business. However, the successful results of using an accounting software are only as good as the bookkeeper’s knowledge level of the work they are performing and their ability to use a software program properly.
The material covered in this certificate program will provide students an opportunity to gain knowledge of the Sage 50 Accounting software. This program begins with an introduction to the software by examining the default Settings and modifying of a Chart of Accounts, and allows students to experience its many capabilities through the hands-on application of a company’s financial activities. The program also includes training in both Microsoft Word and Excel to explore the Sage 50 Accounting software’s capabilities to export data into these programs.
The curriculum is delivered by an instructor and training manuals are provided in each of the core courses. Students will need to successfully complete all the required tasks in the time frame allotted for each course in order to obtain a passing grade. Instructions for each task will be covered during the courses, and the marking structure will be included in each course outline.
Certification
A Sage 50 Accounting Software Certificate will be awarded to students upon successful completion of the NAIT Applied Bookkeeping Certificate and these six core courses

My opinion: I'm reading this, and I'm getting stressed out. It's because it's about math and that's my weakness.
However:
1. It's not like I have to take every course. I can take one and see how it goes.
2. I don't have to study everything all at once.
