Post Secret- Translations/ Post Secret 31

Jan. 3, 2020:

Secrets From Afar

Secrets have been mailed from all seven continents.

The postcards arrive in many languages, some unidentifiable.

The surprise from translated secrets is how similar they are to our own.

Some of these secrets have never been translated.

“I still haven’t found what I’m looking for…”

I like wondering what they mean, what they could mean.

How would you interpret these mysterious confessions?

One secret when translated read, “I’m mailing this card because I get the feeling that I could meet the person who will change my life on the way to the post office.

Bottom left, in Russian: “I don’t believe in anarchy anymore now that I know what it’s like.”

Upper right. “Please don’t let me forget everything.”

And the Morse Code is: “SOS I NEED YOU”

My week:

Mon. Jan. 27, 2025  "She was trying to sell a play tent for $40. It ended up costing her $1,250": Today I found this article by Maryse Zeidler on CBC:

RCMP and the Anti-Fraud Centre say these types of phishing scams have become more common

A woman in the Comox Valley on Vancouver Island wants to warn others about an online phishing scam through Facebook Marketplace after a sale that was supposed to earn her $40 cost her $1,250 instead.

When Severine Nichols was getting rid of her daughter's play tent last week, she did what many people would: she posted it on a local buy and sell group through Facebook Marketplace.

A female buyer soon popped up online, asking if she could send an e-transfer to secure the item and then pick it up later.

"I checked her profile. It was a local profile. She had a picture. She had kids. It wasn't a new profile, so I felt pretty good about that," Nichols told CBC News.

When the e-transfer came into her inbox, Nichols says it looked legitimate and didn't raise any suspicions.

So she clicked on the link and it took her to a page where just as she normally would. she chose which bank she was with, as it usually does. Nichols says she checked the URL and it looked normal. She then typed in her banking details,

she said. "There was nothing different, nothing weird, nothing strange, no red flags.""It looked exactly like a regular e-transfer when I send and receive stuff from to my bank,"

But after Nichols filled in her banking information, an error screen came up

She sent a screenshot of it to the buyer and cancelled the sale.

Minutes later, Nichols says, she received an email confirming an e-transfer for $1,250 to someone she didn't know.

"The shock and then the tears, and then I immediately ... started having a panic attack," she said.

Fraudsters 'very good at it': RCMP

As a student who works part time, Nichols says the financial loss was significant for her. That sum was more than half of her rent and almost her entire biweekly pay cheque.

Nichols posted about her ordeal on a local Facebook group. Some people responded to say the same thing had nearly happened to them, or someone they knew.

The Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre has also  warning people of these types of scams. It says fraudsters have been known to issued an alertsend fake emails to websites that then steal people's banking information so they can access their accounts in what is known as a phishing scam.

Slow down, or meet in person

Terragni recommends that people slow down before accepting an e-transfer and take their time to verify that everything is legitimate.

If that's not possible, she recommends

meeting in person in a public place

    and only accepting cash.

"I think people should keep in mind as well when they're doing those Facebook transactions and they're on Marketplace, that sometimes legitimate Facebook accounts actually do get hacked," she said.

"So it can appear to be legitimate. It can appear to be that person that's been on Facebook since 2008."

Mon. Jan. 27, 2025 Rice Howard Place: This was on the website:

"Opening Fall 2024, Rice Howard Place looks forward to bringing you an exciting new place to gather with our renovated Food Hall."

I called them and the woman said the Food Hall will open in May or June 2025.

Tues. Jan. 28, 2025 City Centre:

The Shoppers Drug Mart West is closing: This store is the one above Dollarama.  I was
shocked and surprised to see it's closing by Thurs. Feb. 20, 2025.

There has always been 2 Shoppers Drug Mart in City Centre since 2003 (to my memory.)

There weren't any chips and cookies I wanted to buy.

Dollarama should move to Shoppers Drug Mart West, instead of being on the bottom floor.

Ricki's: This clothing store is closing down.  This was in the news. There is still a lot of products there.

Dreamscape Designs: This is a small store that sells furniture and home decor items.

I bought a new flip phone: The old Samsung one my mom gave me, had stopped working.  I had used this since 2023.  The screen doesn't work.

I went to Cell Tech and Chatr, and they sold some.  They were around $100.

I went to Rogers and bought one for $111.  If you add GST: $116.55,

Room + Spaces: While I'm at it, I'll throw this one in.  I went to this store at West Edmonton
mall, and they were closing for the last 5 weeks.  There were hardly any products and I felt like I missed out.

Stokes: I went to Kingsway mall and this store was starting to close.  There were a lot of
    products to sell.

I know I can't be at every sale.

Scamanda: This show comes out on Jan. 30, 2025.  There are 4 episodes.

"Amanda Riley a wife, mother, blogger and Christian whose tragic cancer tale intrigue thousands. But she has a secret she's dying to keep and after an anonymous tip to an investigative reporter, her own words may be her downfall."

Oct. 11, 2024 "Scamanda: release date and everything we know about the docuseries":
Today I found this article by Michael Balderston on What to Watch:

    Scamanda release date

was set to premiere on ABC on Wednesday, October 16, but ABC has now announced that the docuseries is being pushed to 2025. The reason? ABC is going to simulcast more  games this fall, leading to a shifting schedule for a number of shows.Scamanda Monday Night Football

Jan. 28, 2025 The Metaphysical Frontier:

Anthony Serino: Using Hypnosis to Remove Subconscious Blocks for Practical Manifestation

Anthony: Maybe we shouldn't be trying to to manifest winning the lottery continuously.  I'll tell
you why.  It's not because I don't think it'd be good for money to just fall out of the air for us. I
would love that, I would love to win the lottery every month.

But I also think a lot of people will try to manifest these things and it's actually a cover up for the fear.  It's a coverup for the indecisiveness, It's a coverup for the perfectionism.

Rather than actually you know taking the action,

rather than stepping into who they need to be,

right, and really having some confidence and putting themselves out there

They like "Oh, Ill just manifest winning the lottery cause that circumvents everything.

Then we can't, we don't have to run into the fear of judgement or the fear of failure because
we're going to focus on that thing that will just happen.

Elly Molina: Using winning the lottery so I don't have to go succeed in a business, I don't have
    to work hard.

Anthony: With over a million followers, not to pat myself on the back, but I literally get tens of
thousands of emails, DMs, and comments about these things and I would say no exaggeration over 80% of those people, it's not out of a place where they've kind of interested in telekinesis,

it's all out of a place of like "I just want things to come easy."

It's okay to want things to come easy and it can, but it's what are you avoiding in the process and setting that manifestation or that goal.  That's what you need to look at first.
