Jul. 12, 2020 My opinion: I'm looking into this now, because I'm interested in work from home.  However, there is that sales goal where you have to make a min. of $250.  There are companies where you are an independent consultant and you don't have to make a sales goal to stay within the company.

Clothing store #1:This reminds me when I was working at Clothing Store #1 in 2005 and there is a sales goal every shift.  You aim to hit the goal.  However, if you don't hit the goal all the time, you can still work there.

Telemarketer #1, #2, #3: I was unable to sell tickets in the first 4 days of #1 and #2 and I was let go.

I didn't sell ad space for a magazine in #3 in the first 2 days and I was let go.

The products: They sell lots of bath bombs and soap bars that I don't use.

Jul. 12, 2020 Scentsy: They sell skin creams, cleaning products to clean counters, and scent packs.

As an Independent Scentsy Consultant, you are an independent business owner authorized to sell Scentsy products for a commission. You have the freedom to control when and where you work your business, and you can increase your commission by selling more products or earning residual income from friends and family you’ve recruited to join your team.

Most Scentsy Consultants join because they love the products; they stay because they fall in love with the community. From there, the reasons continue to grow — from earning extra income, to the flexibility of working when and where they want, to wanting to earn an upcoming incentive trip.

Click “Join My Team” at the top of your Consultant’s Personal Website (PWS), select your Starter Kit and follow the enrollment steps. Please note that you will need a debit or credit card to pay for your Starter Kit.

Click “Join My Team” at the top of your Consultant’s Personal Website (PWS), select your Starter Kit and follow the enrollment steps. Please note that you will need a debit or credit card to pay for your Starter Kit.

Our traditional Starter Kit includes everything you need to start your Scentsy business: a best-selling warmer, scented wax testers, catalogs, order forms, three months of your own PWS, product samples and more. (Contents may vary.)

Our traditional Starter Kit is $99 plus local tax and shipping. Or you can host a party and apply your earned product credit toward a Host-Exclusive Starter Kit to become a Scentsy Consultant.

You must be the legal age or age of majority in your country of residence at the time of enrollment. You must also be a legal resident of the country where you want to enroll and have a valid personal identification number (such as a Social Security number or Employee Identification Number). And you must accept the Independent Consultant Agreement (ICA) and purchase a Starter Kit. (North Dakota residents are not required to purchase a Starter Kit to join.)

PRV stands for Personal Retail Volume, and it is the global point value of commissionable products you sell and how Consultants are paid commissions. All products are assigned a PRV point value, which is then converted to local currency using a peg rate specific to each country.

You must generate sales resulting in 200 points or more in PRV in at least one month within any consecutive four-month period. The 200 points in PRV can come from individual customer orders, party orders or online orders made through your PWS.

All payments from Consultants to Scentsy must be made via credit card, debit card or through your Consultant Pay Portal. Scentsy does not accept cash, money orders or checks. However, you are welcome to accept payment from your customers in whatever form you choose. If a customer pays with a check, it must be made out to you as the Consultant.

Scentsy is built off the party plan. You can hold in-home parties, basket parties, open houses or online parties, and you may also take orders through your PWS.

Arbonne: I heard about this company when I was looking up the old pop group Dream from the early 2000s.  They had the song "He Loves U Not."

The member Ashley Poole has this Facebook page where she says she sells Arbonne as an independent consultant:

Aug. 10, 2020: Here is a video of her opening a box of products.  At the 4 min. mark she shows this small water bottle.  She then pulls on it and it expands to make the bottle way bigger.  I thought that was cool.

My opinion: I don't like any of these products.

Jul. 13, 2020 Lularoe: They sell women's clothes.

However, there is a big forewarning to NOT join them:

NXIVM: This was supposed to be a company, and then it turned into this terrible cult.  I have read and wrote a little bit about this because Smallville actress Allison Mack was involved.

My opinion: I researched all these companies/ MLM.  I can say is that if you want to be an Independent Business Owner/ Consultant then you should:

1. Like/ want the products you're selling

2. Need/ use the products you're selling.

Passive income:

Independent Business Owner: Every time someone buys from your online store, you get paid.

You make a product like a book or online program: Every time someone buys it, you get paid.

Being a landlord: When someone rents your home or a room, you get paid.

Employment insurance: When you get laid off due to shortage of work or the company closed down, you get paid.

My week:

Fri. Sept. 2, 2022 CX building: I brought my friend Cham along to this party from the Personality Meetup group.

H made chicken sandwiches again.
A brought some watermelon slices.
There were chips and candy from last week's event.
S brought the "Table Topics for Teens" where they ask these questions.
I then told the people at my Table Topics Meetup at the WhatsApp chat:
One of the questions was:

"What would you study and where would you go to if you had a full scholarship?"
My answer: I would go to the Vancouver Film School and study screenwriting and filmmaking.

For the most part, I have quit trying to get a career in there.  I am still interested in it by attending Screenwriter's and Filmmakers Meetup and posting on the Facebook groups.

Sun. Sept. 4, 2022 La Bosco Cafe and Bakery: Today I went to the Personality Meetup with Cham.  There were like 18 of us.  The organizer Irini told us to write some fun questions to ask.  I wrote some down like "What's your dream vacation?" and like 5 of us answered.

Irini wrote a question was to describe your favorite drink without naming it and guess who wrote it.

I also bumped into F from the Screenwriters and Filmmakers Meetup and he was here for the Personality Meetup.  We were there for 2 hrs.

Sept. 9, 2022 SurrealEstate: This Canadian TV show came out in summer 2021 and I watched the season 1 (10 eps) in a couple of weeks.  This is a solid and average show to watch it you like supernatural shows.

In the Dark: I watched season 3 (13 eps) and season 4 (13 eps) this summer.  CW canceled this show (and a slew of others because they sold their network.)  This is a good show because of the writing and acting.

Hannibal: I was able to finish watching season 2 on the website and app Plex.  I got to watch this for free.  I'm really happy about that.

The summer is over, but I did have fun in Edmonton:

Staycation activities:

The festivals:

1. I went to the Street Performers/ Art Work's Festival.  I mainly went shopping.

2. Taste of Edmonton.  I didn't eat anything.  I looked around.

3. K- Days- I went shopping and saw some shows.

4. The Africanival- The Personality Meetup group and I walked there from the Muttart Conservatory.  I went shopping.

Africanival – Celebrating African Culture in the Heart of Edmonton

5. Cariwest Festival- I looked at the jewelry, bags, and clothes.  There was loud dance music playing.

Local attractions:

1. West Edmonton Mall

2. Art Gallery of Alberta- I went in for free.  This is on the last Thurs. of every month you can get in for free.

3. The Muttart Conservatory- I was outside with the Personality Meetup group and I took pictures outside.

4. The Edmonton Valley Zoo- I went there for free because of my friend Cham's work BBQ.
