accounting courses/ Business Administration

Jul. 5 NAIT: Here are the Business and Administrative courses:

Accounting courses: There are these book keeping courses.  You can take Quickbooks and Sage 50 here.  These are non-credit courses:

Applied Banking and Business:

“Students train for entry-level banking and financial positions, using NAIT’s computerized lab setting. They learn to be accurate and provide professional customer service, while studying core business curriculum. A 100-hour work placement at a financial institution completes the training.”

My opinion: I know somebody who went there and he did get a job as a financial advisor assistant.

Bachelor of Applied Business Administration- Accounting:

“This applied degree develops a combination of advanced accounting expertise and management skills. The course of study includes two academic terms and two directed field study (DFS) terms in industry.”

Bachelor of Applied Business Administration- Finance:

“This applied degree develops a combination of advanced financial expertise and management skills for careers in the financial services field.”

Bachelor of Business Administration:

The Bachelor of Business Administration curriculum is comparable to many of the top-ranked Canadian business degree programs, and contains courses that enable students to earn exemptions and prerequisites in a range of professional accounting, finance and human resource management programs.

Bachelor of Technology in Technology Management:

“NAIT’s BTech in Technology Management degree is the only program of its kind in Alberta and is one of only a few similar programs in Canada. It offers graduates of recognized two-year technology diplomas the opportunity to earn a recognized baccalaureate degree with two additional years of study.”

You have to have a diploma or degree in “engineering technology, applied science or health science program (minimum GPA of 2.7 required)” to get in.

Becoming a Master Instructor:

This is your opportunity to receive the training that all NAIT instructors complete as a condition of employment with our institute. This train-the-trainer session has been delivered all over the world!

The objective of the program is to assist instructors in starting a teaching career. The purpose is to build presentation skills, confidence in the classroom and to provide an opportunity for instructors to interact professionally with other instructional colleagues. Becoming a Master Instructor (BMI) is organized into three levels of learning. Throughout the program, a variety of modules are offered to the participants. Most of the modules are presented as instructional work sessions in which the participants are facilitated through the exploration of the content and given an opportunity to experience the learning actively. Subsequently, participants practice the skills they have learned in their practice-teaching sessions and ultimately in their classrooms.”
