My week:

Tues. Jun. 9, 2025 Leo poll:

Steffy S, Winnipeg, Manitoba, would like to know:

How do you like to celebrate your birthday?

Have a dinner with close friends or family    59.36% (2901)

I don’t celebrate my birthday    15.33% (749)

Spend a peaceful, relaxing day alone    12.65% (618)

Take a weekend getaway or trip    10.07% (492)

Host a big celebration or party    2.60% (127)

My opinion: Have a dinner with close friends or family.  I may go out by myself in the day time.

Sat. Jun. 7, 2025 Garage sale: I woke up early this morning so I could go to a garage sale.

It was cold and windy, so I wore my early spring jacket.

They sold jewelry, men's cologne, a few chargers, and home decor.

Free libraries: I went to 3 free libraries.  I then left notes on them that I was looking for The Baby- Sitters Club books and for them to email me if they had any.

I counted that I had13 free books from these places.  I don't usually read books as much as I read the news.

As you can see on my blog, I read the news like the business news from CBC and BNN Bloomberg 5 days a week.

There is a Boxcar Children book.  I read a few when I was in elementary school, but I wasn't that interested in them.  I read the book now and thought this was average.  I'm going to give this to my co-worker/ friend Nadine because she said she read them as a kid.

I found this book.  This went from a blog to a book.  My sister read this book:

Waiter Rant: Thanks for the Tip--Confessions of a Cynical Waiter Paperback – July 21 2009

According to The Waiter, 80 percent of customers are nice people just looking for something to

eat. The remaining 20 percent, however, are socially maladjusted psychopaths.

Eye-opening, outrageous, and unabashed—replete with tales of customer stupidity, arrogant

misbehavior, and unseen tidbits of human grace in the most unlikely places—Waiter Rant

presents the server's unique point of view, revealing surefire secrets to getting good service,

proper tipping etiquette, and ways to ensure that your waiter won't spit on your food.

My birthday's in August, so you can get me these books:

These are The Baby- Sitter's Club books I want:

The Wokkery: My family and I went there with 5 family friends to celebrate Father's Day.

We ate:

Sweet and sour pork

Deep fried shrimp and peaches

Peking duck in wraps

Pork in cabbage wraps

S brought up this news:

Jun. 7, 2025 "River Cree to host first Canadian location of Gordon Ramsay's Hell's Kitchen": Today I found this article in the Edmonton Journal:

While this will be the first location of that chain in Canada, Ramsay has a pair of restaurants in the Vancouver area, including Gordon Ramsay Burger in Coquitlam and Gordon Ramsay Steak in Richmond.

The first Hell’s Kitchen restaurant opened in 2018. It’s based on a competition-style reality series that premiered in 2005, during which competitors vie for the role of head chef at a restaurant.

Jun. 11, 2025 "Wealthsimple launches credit card, new line of credit to challenge big banks": Today I found this article on CBC:

Debt can be a tool or a weapon, use wisely

My opinion: Information is a tool or weapon.
