This is my Jul. 2022 blog post:
Should I continue into TV production? (Part 4)/ Why do you want to be a TV writer?
Sept. 4, 2022 My life purpose: It seems like I'm not going to be able to become a TV writer and producer.
My life purpose is to entertain and make people happy, educate, and inform people as a writer/ blogger.
When you read these "TV and movie comparisons" about creative writing and screenwriting, I hope you are entertained by this and learn about writing.
Jan. 14, 2021 TV and movie comparisons:
Jan. 16, 2021: I wrote about this before "TV movies about a psychopath who gets close to a common person":
Tracy's blog: TV and movie comparisons/ I want to be a Youtube influencer (badcb.blogspot.com)
Movies about a psychopath who gets close to a common person. There is a love triangle where the other man/ woman is the psychopath:
Unforgettable:
"A woman sets out to make life a living hell for her ex-husband's new fiancée."
Obsessed:
"A successful asset manager, who has just received a huge promotion, is blissfully happy in his career and in his marriage. But when a temp worker starts stalking him, all the things he's worked so hard for are placed in jeopardy."
When the Bough Breaks:
"A surrogate mom for a couple becomes dangerously obsessed with the soon-to-be father."
When the Bough Breaks (2016) - IMDb
The Perfect Guy:
"After breaking up with her boyfriend, a professional woman gets involved with a man who seems almost too good to be true."
Jun. 24, 2021 A character hides something in the vent:
Manifest: I was watching season 3 of this show, and a bad guy hides his stuff in the vent.
Grand Hotel: I saw this show in summer 2019 and a character hides things in the vent.
Blindspot: Kurt and Jane hid things in the vent of their apartment.
Veronica Mars: In season 1, Logan and Lily hid things in the vent.
Jul. 26, 2022 Dexter: I was rereading this blog post, and am reminded that Dexter hid things in the vent too.
Aug. 28, 2022 A character's car is hacked while he's driving:
Timeless: Rufus is driving and his car's hacked.
Criminal Minds: A serial killer is hacking people's cars.
FBI: Most Wanted: In the episode "Execute" that happened.
Burden of Truth: Joanna is driving and her car's hacked.
CSI: NY: This was really old and someone's car was hacked and it was stuck in a bad neighborhood. The driver was then attacked in the car.
I think in the same ep, someone hacked into a restaurant's computer and changed the order so that someone would eat something they're allergic too.
A character goes through their old exes to find the one:
The Bachelor:
"A commitment-phobic man goes in search of a bride, including his fed-up girlfriend, to inherit his grandfather's one hundred million dollar inheritance."
What's your number?:
"A woman looks back at the past nineteen men she's had relationships with in her life and wonders if one of them might be her one true love."
What's Your Number? (2011) - IMDb
Nov. 21, 2022 There is a video tape of a character doing something bad and illegal. Another character has the videotape and blackmails the other character:
My script idea: I had thought of something like this before in 2011-2012. A character is forced to work as a stripper for the bad guy at his strip club. If she doesn't, he will go to the police with something on her.
I'm sure some of you guys are reading this and like: "What kind of story is that?"
When a bad guy blackmails someone, you're supposed to get money and/ or to get them to do something hard or difficult that the bad guy can't do themselves.
In TV and movies, and real life, there is a bad guy who threatens to hurt the good guy's friend, family member, or loved one to get the good guy to do something for them.
The Cleaning Lady: If you don't want to spoiled, skip this part.
In season 2, there is a video of Fiona's son Chris getting into a fight with his uncle Marco, and he pushes him, and Marco falls down the stairs. He dies.
The Motel Owner has a videotape of this and blackmails Fiona to give him $10K because of the lost business with the police spooking all the guests.
May 2, 2023 Self- sacrifice:
Dark Angel:
"A group of genetically-enhanced children escape from a lab project. Years later we meet Max, one of the escapees who now works for a messenger service in the post-apocalyptic Pacific Northwest."
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0204993/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0_tt_8_nm_0_q_Dark%2520A
Dark Angel episode "Blah Blah Woof Woof": Max is arrested for a murder she didn't commit. Zack turns himself in and confesses to the murder. Zack sacrifices himself and he will be taken to Manticore, to save Max.
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0554562/?ref_=ttep_ep8
Dark Angel season 1 finale "...And Jesus Brought a Casserole": Max dies. She needs an X5 heart. Zack is an X5. Zack kills himself and gives his heart to her.
I was 15 yrs old and I had a crush on him.
I have seen him on one episode of the sitcom Run of the House and CSI: NY. He is working:
https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0498457/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0_tt_2_nm_6_q_william%2520gre
Angel:
"The vampire Angel, cursed with a soul, moves to Los Angeles and aids people with supernatural-related problems while questing for his own redemption."
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0554558/?ref_=ttep_ep21
I have a question. I 'm going to write about this and then ask you at the end:
Cut to: a convertible roaring down dark streets. Sound of laughing and cheering.
Cut closer. We see a male vamp driving and the female vamp (Elisabeth) in the passenger seat with the male hostage between them. In the backseat are two more male vamps and a female hostage. The driver reaches over and ruffles the young man's hair.
YOUNG MAN HOSTAGE: Please.
ELISABETH: Hmm?
YOUNG MAN HOSTAGE: Please don't hurt her.
Elisabeth looks at the girl in the back, turns back to the guy.
ELISABETH: You love her?
He nods. Elisabeth stops smiling.
ELISABETH: You'd do anything for her.
He nods again, looks scared.
ELISABETH: What if ... we just kill her and let you go? Hmm?
He looks conflicted, looks at her. Shot of the girl in the back looking scared.
ELISABETH: Hmm? Come on now, life's about making choices. You or her, what's it gonna be?
YOUNG MAN HOSTAGE: (tearfully) Her. T-take her ... god, I...
ELISABETH: (disgusted) Gee Bobby, you call that love? (strokes his neck) We get home... (pushes his head aside to reveal his neck) I'll show you what love is.
Suddenly something lands on the car. It's Angel. Everyone screams as he punches the driver in the face.
The car screeches to a stop as we see Wes and Gunn drive up behind it and stop also.
Angel punches one of the vamps in the back of the car as Wes and Gunn collect weapons.
Angel lifts the two hostages out of the car by the front of their shirts, holds them up in front of him. They stare at him in terror.
ANGEL: Run.
He puts them on the ground and shoves them away as Elisabeth stands up in the car and kicks Angel.

My week:
Instagram is planning to release a text-based app that will compete with Twitter.
The company is currently testing the project with celebrities and influencers, according to people familiar with the matter. It has been secretly available to select creators for months, according to one of the people.
The app, which will be separate from Instagram but will allow people to connect accounts, may debut as soon as June, according to Lia Haberman, who teaches social and influencer marketing at UCLA and published a screenshot of an early app description. It may eventually be compatible with other Twitter competitor apps, including Mastodon, according to Haberman’s screenshot.
Instagram, owned by Meta Platforms Inc., didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment. Twitter’s chaotic takeover by Elon Musk has caused some users to look for alternatives, and created an opening in the market.
“Historically, we know Meta likes to sample and recreate features from other apps and third-party tools based on what they anticipate being popular with their users,” Haberman said. She noted that Musk has talked about turning Twitter into an “everything app,” with a lot of features besides informational posts. “Based on Meta’s track record borrowing from other platforms, it’s much more likely they’ll get there first by consolidating all these experiences they’re building.”
Platformer in March reported that Meta was exploring a text-based app.
"I'm shopping like a billionaire," sings a voice in Temu's Super Bowl ad, echoing the online shopping app's tagline.
With many of the e-commerce platform's best-selling goods priced under $10, it's easy to see why people are flocking to the app to purchase everything from clothes and accessories to home appliances.
But some experts caution people to think critically about using it.
"You probably get what you pay for," said Shreyas Sekar, an assistant professor of operations at the University of Toronto Scarborough and the Rotman School of Management.
Low cost, low quality
Janis Wong, 20, said she was first introduced to Temu through her aunt, who had sent referral codes to family and friends. Wong, a third-year student at the University of Toronto in the mental health studies program, said she was skeptical at first.
But after confirming with her aunt, she decided to download and try the app. It reminded her of Taobao, a Chinese e-commerce site owned by Alibaba. She ordered a wireless keyboard for about $35 — which she says would typically cost her about $60 in similar models — to test it out.
The package arrived in two days — sooner than the three- to five-day initial estimate. But after a few days of use, she was disappointed.
"Some of the keys were chipped, and so some of the words on the keyboard were kind of falling off," Wong said.
Jackie Dawson, Canada Research Chair in the human and policy dimensions of climate change, recommends that consumers think about quality more broadly.
Netflix on Tuesday outlined how it intends to crack down on the rampant sharing of account passwords in the U.S., its latest bid to reel in more subscribers to its video streaming service amid a slowdown in growth.
In an email to its 70 million U.S. customers on Tuesday, Netflix said it will limit viewership of its programming to people living in the same household. Those who subscribe to Netflix's standard or premium plans — which cost $15.50 US to $20 US per month — will be able to allow another person living outside their household to use their password for an additional $8 per month, a $2 discount from the company's standard stand-alone plan.

The imposter then told him a bitcoin wallet had also been opened in his name and it was overdrawn by $13,000. The imposter told Shattah he was transferring him to TD's investigation department. The fraudster told him the bank suspected an employee at Shattah's branch was leaking information and stealing money. They asked for his help to catch them.
The "investigator" told Shattah they'd deposit $13,000 into his chequing account so he could bring the balance in the bitcoin wallet to zero.
"I opened up Easyweb and, lo and behold, there's $13,000 in my account," said Shattah, 72. "In my head, I figured, 'well, this is totally legit.'"
New credit card never arrived
When Shattah's new credit card still hadn't arrived the following week, he called TD Visa and was shocked there was no record of his card being cancelled.
"At that point, I turned white," said Shattah, who rushed over to his branch to report the scam.
"The manager says, 'Oh my God, not you too,'" Shattah recalls.

May 23, 2023 Amway products: In 2020, I got involved in Amway. I bought a box of products to try out. I ate all the granola bars, shakes, and energy drinks. However, there were still a few things I didn't use.
I gave this to my mom:
1. Multi-purpose wipes
2. 3 small hand cream bottles
3. An exfoliating skin bottle
I wrote about this company here in my Sept. 2022 blog post:

May 24, 2023 XG song "Left Right": I heard this song while listening to Stingray Galaxy Hitlist. This is a good pop song to dance to. There's really good and complicated choreography in this music video and live performance.
