Mar. 1, 2020 ATAC Ascension Consulting: I signed up for this company.  I paid $16 for the personality/ behavior test.  Then I paid $15 for the 8hr online training class.

I worked there for 3 weeks.  I was calling and reading a script from my computer.  I got paid.  

This is not a scam.  

Dad: If they start asking you for money and you have to pay for something, to get to work, then that's a bad sign and could be a scam.

Before I paid for the $16, I asked my dad if I should pay.  He and I both said: "Yeah, well at least it's only $16" and it's not a lot of money to lose if it is a scam.  

Mar. 11, 2020: I like ATAC.  However, there are only 2 projects.  One was QuickBooks and I thought it was too hard so I didn't apply.

They had a 2nd project and then it was closed.

Now I have to find a new work-from-home job and that takes time and effort.  But I have to.

Mar. 15, 2020: I was listening to those self- development videos, and one of them said this:

"You need to stop 'should-ing' yourself."

Mar. 15, 2020 "Rudy Gobert donates $500,000 to arena workers and coronavirus-related services in Utah, Oklahoma and France": I was avoiding writing about COVID- 19.  However, I have to post this because it's about charity, and you know how I love to post news about charity:

Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert is trying to make things right after being “careless.” Gobert — who became the first NBA player to test positive for the coronavirus — announced a $500,000 donation Saturday. A portion of that donation will go toward making sure part-time arena workers at Vivint Smart Home Arena are compensated while the NBA season is suspended.
Gobert will give $200,000 to Jazz arena workers who will miss out on working games at Vivint Smart Home Arena, where the Jazz play. He will give $100,000 to families in Utah and Oklahoma affected by the virus. Gobert is also donating 100,000 Euros to assist families in France. Gobert is from France.

    I think it's unfair to say he was the one to end it....he was the one who got tested. This is everywhere. The more you test the more positives we will find. This isn't the time to point fingers and say one person ended the NBA season. The virus ended the NBA and would have even if he didn't test positive. People need to be able to seek medical care without feeling a stigma behind this that the community will shun you. Get the care you need and we will all resume life back to normal down the road.

Employment Insurance
Employment Insurance (EI) sickness benefits provide up to 15 weeks of income replacement and is available to eligible claimants who are unable to work because of illness, injury or quarantine, to allow them time to restore their health and return to work. Canadians quarantined can apply for Employment Insurance (EI) sickness benefits.

Service Canada is ready to support Canadians affected by COVID-19 and placed in quarantine, with the following support actions:
  • The one-week waiting period for EI sickness benefits will be waived for new claimants who are quarantined so they can be paid for the first week of their claim

  • Priority EI application processing for EI sickness claims for clients under quarantine

Westworld: I saw the pilot because it's available on Telus on Demand:

My opinion: I have said this before about other HBO shows like Game of Thrones and Watchmen where I only saw the pilot. I don't like these shows because of the violence, nudity, and profanity.  The pilot had good acting and writing and then I never watched it again.

For Life: I missed the pilot, but I watched the 2nd episode called "Promises."


"A prisoner becomes a lawyer and fights to overturn his life sentence for a crime he didn't commit." 


My opinion: There was good acting and writing.  I'm going to record all the episodes and maybe watch it in the summer.

FBI: Most Wanted: I saw the FBI back door pilot "Most Wanted" and then I saw the pilot earlier this yr.  Today I watched the 2nd ep.

"It follows the division of the FBI tasked with tracking and capturing the notorious criminals on the FBI's Most Wanted list."



My opinion: There is good acting and writing.  However, there isn't anything that made me say: "I have to watch every episode."  I will record all the eps and maybe watch it in the summer.

Mar. 20, 2020 Take care of yourself: When you're on an airplane, you have to put the oxygen mask on yourself first before you put the mask on anyone else.

You may feel overwhelmed by the COVID- 19 news about death, the economy, college students not finishing school, etc.

Focus only on your situation: In my case:

1. I'm focusing on getting COVID-19 EI.

2. I'm looking for a work from home job.

Friends: You can still stay in connection with your friends with phones and internet.  The other day I talked to my friend Dan L. for 30 min on the phone.
