Dear Tracy,
The Government of Canada is still matching all donations made to UNICEF’s response to the Syrian crisis. But there is only one week left to make your donation go twice as far. This match ends on February 29, 2016 and the needs remain great.
As the conflict in Syria approaches the five year mark, the number of people in need of humanitarian assistance has grown to 13.5 million. Children and their families have witnessed unspeakable violence and have been deprived of their most basic needs. UNICEF is reaching children and families caught in the crosshairs of conflict in Syria and those in host communities and camps in surrounding countries.
90% of your donation to UNICEF Canada goes to help children affected by the Syrian crisis by:
- Providing life-saving support and supplies
- Bringing nourishment to distressed, hungry and malnourished children
- Providing clean, safe water to children and families
- Creating more child friendly and learning spaces for children to learn, rest, play and just be children
- Help children overcome the trauma they have experienced with psychosocial support
With no end to this conflict in sight, children caught in this crisis need your support. Together, we can help ease the suffering and give them a chance for a better future.
Sincerely,
UNICEF Canada |
