CareerLink assists clients at various skill levels and can help you return to full participation in the workforce.

Our program is designed to develop strategies and enable unemployed and underemployed 

Skill Development


Bredin offers a variety of workshops including 

Job Search Techniques, 

Understanding the Labour Market, 

and Communication 

and Leadership Skills. 


In addition, you may be provided opportunities to pursue 

short-course certifications 

and acquire employment readiness incidentals 

when there is a direct requirement that leads to employment.

These services offer exposure to the Alberta labour market through the utilization of direct employment placement and supports and direct job matching.


Ongoing Support

Once employment is secured, we will continue to offer support with any challenges that arise in your new workplace to encourage sustainable success.

Training Programs

How Do We Help ?

At Bredin, our goal is help you break through employment barriers. In some cases that means providing training. When you become a Bredin client we take the time to get to know you.


 Training is individualized and includes support in areas such as 


updating your resume,


 improving your English 


or learning Microsoft Word.



Bredin Equipment Operator Training Program

Water and vacuum truck operators are in demand in Alberta and this full-time training program will provide you the foundational skills to start a rewarding career. This comprehensive training will assist you in acquiring a Class 3 License and any safety course you need to prepare you for the water and vacuum truck training. Once you are ready SATO Canada will provide hands on training at their state-of-the-art training facility located in Millet, Alberta.


Alberta Registered Nurses Assessment Program Preparation (ARNAP Prep)

The Bredin ARNAP Preparation program will familiarize Internationally Educated Nurses (IEN) with the ARNAP exam process through an intense review of cases, clinical scenarios, and multiple-choice questions. This service is funded by the Alberta Settlement and Integration Program and is offered at no cost to you.


LINC – Bredin Language Instruction for Newcomers

Are you new to Canada? Do you want to learn English? We offer part-time Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada (LINC) classes, CLB Levels 5-8, for landed immigrants and refugees. Our qualified instructors will teach you how to read, write, listen, and speak in English. These Government of Canada IRCC funded services are offered at no cost to you.

This four-week structured program will help you

Each week is dedicated to a specific topic, including 


Career Planning, 

Personal & Professional Life Management, 


Microsoft Office Computer Skills, 


and Industry Supported Customer Service Skills. 


You will have the opportunity to explore career options, 


find support to address personal challenges


 and enhance computer 


and customer service skills. 


By participating in this four-week program, you will gain skills and knowledge that will support your career goals.


Employment Services

Our experienced staff will help you 


develop a resume targeted to the job opportunity


 and provide coaching to prepare for your interview. 


We will help you connect to job opportunities and employment, as well as occupational safety training and certifications. 


Our Employer Connection events and individual coaching sessions are designed to help you reach your personal occupational goals.
