writing/ question/ Blast from the Past

June 20 Writing: Today I checked my email and 5 production companies emailed me back. They were rejections, but one said he had worked with a director who did a fight movie. I asked for the director's email address so I can send him my script.

I was thinking about Joss Whedon today. He can make 4 TV shows, that aren't really similar to each other. They're all supernatural. First is Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and the spinoff to it Angel. Then there was Firefly which is about a crew flying in space. Then there is Dollhouse about a group of people who carry out missions.

I can't seem to write anything different. I write one MMA movie, and now I'm onto the same thing. Whedon does use the same actors, producers, and writers in his projects, but the stories all manage to be different. There is the movie Bring it On about cheerleaders. The same writers came and did a movie called Stick it about another girl sport, gymnastics. It's similar, but different.

I do have this book called The Writer's Block which is a national bestseller. It's written by Jason Rekulak who gives ideas on how to fight writer's block. I also have Screenwriting for Dummies.

A good thing is that I found this guy on that dating website. Well he found me and emailed me. I told him that we weren't a good match in dating, but we should keep in contact for networking because we're both into writing. So now we're emailing each other about it.

Question: My question is: Which is worse? A teenage girl who gets pregnant by accident or on purpose? I asked my co- worker Jennifer that, and she said: "On purpose is better because some people can be ready to have a kid." I asked my co- worker Sylvia that and she said: "A girl who gets pregnant by accident is worse because she would most likely get an abortion and that's bad."

My answer is: A girl who gets pregnant on purpose is worse. A girl who gets pregnant by accident is most likely going to give the baby up for adoption or abortion. A girl who gets pregnant on purpose is most likely to keep the baby and raise it on her own, which means she will live on welfare. That means my tax money is going to pay for it.

I got this from an old ep of the talk show Jenny Jones. Wait, hear me out. It was about out- of- control- teenage girls, and the boot camp guy comes and says that.

I'm also thinking of the time that time that my 16 yr- old co- worker Jennifer who worked here back in Oct. 2008. She said she saw Maury about a teen girl who wants to have a baby. The girl on the show said: "I'm going to have a baby, and all of you guys are going to pay for it." The audience boos her. Why should I have to pay for a baby that's not even mine?

Tax money is mainly paying for other people's mistakes. Though I use the tax payers' money for good and not evil. I go to public school so I can graduate with a diploma.

June 21 Party: It was good today. I went to work where I get to sit around and write. It did make me analyze my script. This second script has the characters work at a gym so they can train in MMA. In the first script, it centred around a night club. I never worked at one, nor do I really go to any. I went to a bar once in Dec. 2004 with my NAIT friends. I didn't drink.

I don't party. I went to Capital Ex with Leslie back in 2006. We did enter the casino and that's where I showed my ID. I only got drunk twice. Once when I was 19 at dinner with my family. I drank one glass of champagne. It was in 2004. Then in Apr. 2005, I had half of can of beer with my NAIT friends. I don't really have any experience with clubs and partying.

Then I thought about how I never worked at a gym before. Nor do I go to one. I did a little research about gyms yesterday. I read the business section in The Journal about how there are gyms that are open 24 hours. People do go there at 3am to work out.

I'm not interested in gyms. If I took out the MMA in the second script, what's left of it? June 22 Good: Today a production company emailed me saying that he wants to read my script. I filled out the submission form, and sent it with my script. I also emailed another production company, and he's going to email my script to a director.

 

Blast from the Past: I got off the bus, and then I saw my old classmate from college, Mike. I had emailed him the other day on Facebook telling him about a game company in Edmonton. He always said he wanted to write for video games. We chatted a bit, and he asked if I still worked at the big company. The last time we saw each other was on the bus back in Sept.

 

Then I got to work, and my old co- worker Maygen came back. She had a hard time looking for a job, and we did need her. We then discussed my emails. Me: Which is worse, a teenage girl who gets pregnant by accident or Maygen: On purpose. Some teens are in committed relationships, very few, so some may be ready to have a baby. I'm not a teen, but I'm not ready to have a baby. It's really based on a case by case situation.

Funny: I was checking out the singer Donnie Klang on Youtube and I found these comments:
